Luiz Antonio Busnello builds AI-native operations and studies how AI agents behave in production.
He leads AI strategy and transformation at Galapagos Capital, where he created and leads the AI Squad, combining strategy with hands-on implementation. In the first five months the squad took AI from pilots to production: 160+ initiatives across 20 business areas, 40+ systems live, ~300 people empowered by AI and ~10,000 hours returned to the team.
In parallel, he does independent research in AI and applied mathematics, published openly with code and data. On agent memory: nox-mem, an open-source memory layer benchmarked against five other systems; a pre-registered randomized trial of memory dosing in a production agent fleet; and the exposure record of a production memory system. On circuit complexity: a mechanically verified refutation of a published theorem, with DRAT-certified proofs.
The circuit-complexity work is done with AI assistance under his direction, cross-checked by independent model families. That research already has an operating arm: an agentic venture builder.
This work is grounded in 25+ years as an operator. He co-founded Nuvini (Nasdaq: NVNI), a SaaS consolidation platform in Latin America, where he served as COO, Head of M&A and CFO, supported 8 acquisitions and led the October 2023 Nasdaq listing; he now sits on its board. Before that he co-founded Veek, Brazil's first fully digital mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), where he served as CFO, COO and CTO. Earlier he built and acquired companies across digital services, events, HR, furniture and oil & gas.
He holds a degree in Economics, a postgraduate qualification in Political Economy and an Entrepreneurship & Innovation certificate from Babson College.
